As a charitable organization that provides food, emergency-related services, educational supports and financial assistance to economically disadvantaged or vulnerable populations, GCCSA will continue to perform these vital services for the Houston-Harris County area.
As we do our part to protect the community and minimize the spread of COVID-19, please note our modified protocols while we move forward serving those who need us the most.
Serving Applicants and Existing Customers
GCCSA’s corporate office will remain closed to the public, and most of our team members will work remotely. All will be reachable by phone or email during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). Our front-line staff will:
- assist applicants and customers via phone or email, only; and
- screen applications, manage cases, and host workshops via conference call or email.
- Our Food Pantry will re-open as soon as possible
Orientation, Workshop(s) and Course(s)
- Orientations, Work Readiness and Financial Capability Workshops will occur via conference call or email.
Off-Site Adult Literacy Classes
All classes are postponed.
