Emergency Assistance

Emergency Assistance

Our Approach

Assistance is meant to offer meaningful support to individuals while they develop practical plans for meeting their own needs. The program requires individuals to complete a service agreement/plan of action that addresses personal and professional development needs.

 The Plan of Action

The Plan of Action/Service Agreement is an action plan based on the client assessment and re-assessment and must be completed with every case management client. A GCCSA Service Specialist and the client(s) work together to create an individualized Plan of Action, which supports a client’s movement toward self-sufficiency.

The Plan of Action outlines

  • Achievable and easily understood steps;
  • Establishes the roles, responsibilities and expectations of the agency and client; and
  • Gives specific timelines as to which steps and goals are to be achieved.
